Renee has worked in the animal care industry for twenty years and began her career as veterinary customer service representative. She had made the switch to analytical chemistry until she adopted her first rescue dog, Kodee. It was love at first sight and the addition of Kodee to the family prompted her to leave her role in the chemistry lab to return to her true passion of animal care and advocacy.
Renee switched gears and returned to school to pursue a degree in animal science at the University of New Hampshire. She began working as the shelter manager of a local animal shelter, overseeing both the animal care and veterinary teams. She enjoyed the opportunity to devise creative solutions to the challenges that shelter medicine presents and promote high level patient care in a shelter setting.
Renee then moved into a veterinary practice management role and took great pride in supporting her teams through fostering a collaborative culture. She was able to sharpen her financial management skills and discovered her aptitude for creating opportunities in the practice through comprehensive financial management.
Renee is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance and sits on the board of a nonprofit that assists with providing veterinary care to families at risk of relinquishing their pets due to financial hardship. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the mountains of New Hampshire with her dogs, cooking, and reading.
