My role as a Veterinary Advisor at Granite Peak Veterinary Advisors isn’t about sending you spreadsheets or reports that never get looked at (no offense to the tax team). It’s about practical, real-world support that helps your practice run smoother, improve profitability, and reduce stress, without judgment, pressure, or unrealistic expectations.
I get that “advisory support” can feel somewhat vague at first. People often ask, “What can you actually help us with?” and honestly, I’d probably ask the same thing. It’s not always obvious what working together looks like until we have that first conversation.
Pricing, team utilization, staffing, inventory headaches, KPIs, new client trends; I’m here to help you make sense of what’s happening and focus on what matters right now. You don’t need to come with a plan or a list of questions. The best way for us to work together is simple: ask questions, share challenges, and let me help you sort through priorities, problem-solve, and provide some actionable takeaways.
There’s something else I want to say out loud, because I feel like some of you need to hear it. Sometimes we start a project together, whether it’s pricing, inventory, staffing, KPIs, or whatever, and then life happens (because…vetmed). Things stall, priorities shift, emails go unanswered.
If you’ve ever worried I’d be disappointed or think someone “failed,” please don’t. That’s not how this works. I don’t have an agenda, my feelings aren’t hurt if a suggestion doesn’t land, and there’s no failing, by you or by me, if we need to pause and revisit later. Running a veterinary practice is messy and unpredictable. That’s normal. I totally get it.
My job isn’t to tell you what you should do. My job is to help you understand what’s going on, talk through your options, and help you decide what makes sense for your practice.
Maybe your COGS are creeping up because your team is over-ordering to avoid stockouts.
Maybe overtime is high because you’re short-staffed, not because your team is inefficient.
Maybe your prices haven’t kept up with rising costs, even though your care and service absolutely have.
Sometimes that means digging into KPIs like ACT, new client counts, or payroll percentages. Other times, it’s just helping you decide what needs attention now versus what can wait.
If you’re not sure where to start, a single answer to any of these is more than enough to begin a good conversation:
I can work with owners, managers, inventory coordinators, and anyone else on your team who could use vetmed-specific guidance. I joke that I sometimes receive emails from the same person every day for a week. But, honestly? I love that! That’s exactly what helping looks like.
If we’ve worked together before and it’s been a while, please don’t hesitate to reach out again. We’re a team. Your wins are my wins. I measure success by your team’s confidence, sustainability, and progress, not by whether every idea is executed perfectly or immediately.
My goal is simple: meet you where you are, help you make sense of what matters most, and make running your practice feel a little easier and a lot more supported.
Whenever you’re ready, I’m here and excited about 2026! mbingham@granitpeakcpa.com
